When copying a file to a cifs mounted share, the times are not preserved
when I use "rsync -a" or smbclient.
It is not a problem of rights on the target directory, because the same copy
works with "scp" or "cp -p", and the times are then preserved. Even
the command "touch -r source_file target_file" works.
This looks like a bug, but I'd like to know whether anybody has an explanation
about this difference of behaviour.
