In smb.conf, when browseable = no is set globally, it doesn't matter if browseable is set to yes or no in the [printers] share, the printer(s) won't show up in windows network neighbourhood or linux smbclient. I filed a bug report at https://bugzilla.samba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=4351 and it looks like that issue dates back to 2007 already.
