Do you use "old" passdb such as smbpasswd or ldapsam_compat?

passdb = tdbsam

Those other posts refer to Logon Path, not Logon Script, I suppose you mean that both wont reset back to default.

I'm afraid I've never persisted long enough to get ldap working.
If anyone can point to a good how to that works with Debian Squeeze I would appreciate it
