This subject has probably been brought many times now, on this list, but I
haven't quote been able to find anything that quite addresses my problem: I
have a samba server (ver 3.0) that it would be very awkward to change in other
than a very limited way, as it is in constant use. Security is set to share,
and if users connect with their UNIX username, everything work well enough;
however, since Windows 7 it seems that one can't map a network drive as another
user without the domain name. Is there any workaround - like, is it possible to
map whatever the samba server sees as the username to a UNIX ID? Or is there a
way to get around the way Windows 7 insists on including the domain name?
