How can I prevent Samba clients from changing the group ownership of

With the security mask parameter I can prevent Samba clients from
changing some permission bits, but I can't find a parameter to
prevent changing the group ownership

I don't think we currently can do this.

Come at it from a different direction and use rich permissions via
whatever method and don't grant that permission, turn unix extensions
off and only give them access to the data via Samba.

What about the command "chmod g+s"?

Won't work, read the man page.
