[Samba] logon script client configuration?

Hi,

this may be a stupid question, but it's quite a time ago when 
i configured my computer.
is some client configuration necessary to run the logon script?

i have two clients, connecting to the same domain, both are w2k sp3,
one is running the logon script, the other not.

any hints anyone?
