hi in our uni we have nt 4 network. i configured nis server and used samba to share a public folder. user home folder do not appear when they double click on the linuxserver because our nt logins r roll nos eg 105 and on linux server the users r i105(since linux doesent allow just 105). is there a solution?? is there any way i can add all the linux users with the same pass into samaba and make it such that whenever they change the linux pass their samba pass is changed automatically. is it necessary everytime they click on their home folders they have to give their login password???? hope some one can help
