Just to recap in case someone is actually following this:
PANDORA: samba-2.2.7a
TESTE011: w2k server on a different subnet (I'm using /etc/lmhosts to
reach this server)
user: exists in PANDORA's /etc/passwd, but not in /etc/smbpasswd
