Hi, Does samba understand both the uid and gid feilds in the /etc/passwd file?
When I've an XP process who is logged in under gid 100 and uid 511 try to send a process to a Linux box, the Linux box sees the user as uid 100 rather than its uid of 511. File perms do work howver as I've users and groups tweaked to allow complex file/dir access so I am perplexed. I've /etc/passwd consistant on all of my Unix boxes (PDC and members).
