Hi all,

Anyone know if Samba can authenticate users from a different domain with
an established trust relationship ?

I have a Debian Samba 2.2.3a joined to an ADS domain called child. The
child has a parent domain called parent. The two have a trust
relationship etc so users can authenticate across domains which works
from a Windows 2k file server in the child domain.

I have a samba server in the child domain as well but this one doesn't
authenticate across domains. All users in the child domain auth fine.
Users in the parent domain all fail.
# wbinfo -t
Secret is good
# wbinfo -m
PARENT

If samba can authenticate against another domain is there anything
special which needs to be done to get it working.

Thanks in Advance
