Hmm. The hub could be a problem, but it appears to be working OK.. I will
check later on this evening to see if FTP will work better. This should
eliminate basic connectivity problems, and moves the issue up to the
protocol layer.

I have a feeling that the issue is at the SMB (or whatever) protocol
layer, as I am seeing some period of time where the speed is fine (66% of
theoretical max, and IIRC 70% is max optimal rate)..
