also, how does inter-domain trust work in a mixed-mode domain? if my samba machine is joined to an AD domain and wants to look at the groups of an NT domain to which there is bi- directional trust between it and the AD domain how does that work. in windows even? I know that AD uses machine passwords but does NT as well? is the NT domain supposed to authenticate the machine against the AD domain to which it belongs?
