Hello,

I have configured the samba server on linux Redhat 6.2 as a file server. I shared two
folder on it with different username and password.

share name = General
path = /home/general
valid user = asad
public = no
writable =yes
printable =no
create mash =0755

share name = personal
path = /home/john
valid user = john
public = no
writable =yes
printable =no
create mash =0755

when i access "general" share with valid username/password from the windows-NT /2000 ,
i can able to open it, at the same time when i try to access the other share
"personal" with valid username/password it show me the error ,
error description:
"the credentials supplied conflict with an existing set of credentials".

but on the same time if i try to access the same share with the same username/password
from different machine , i can able to open the share "persoanl".

it seems that windows cache the first username/password and retained it unless you
restart the machine or change the machine

can anybody tell me what is the actual problem and how can we resolved it.

waiting for reply,

From,
Asad Hafeez
