Hi Marc
I have a question here. One of the directions on that link you sent is this
To allow anyone to actually join, however, you'll need to add a smbpasswd entry for the user "root" -- this is required!
Does this actually mean add the "root" account to the smbpasswd file? I take it this wants me to add the servers root account that samba is running on correct?
Yes, but other notes I read mentioned that you should use a different password than your actual root password for security.
My flags went off so I am cautious about this.

Hi
I have read that Samba can emulate an NT Domain. Is this still possible? I dont see much about it listed anymore. Is it still supported in 2.2.8a. Does anyone have any information concerning this? We would like our version to do this so we can do some testing with one of our NetApp 880's.
