Hi all, I have install the samba on my linux computer, and reconfig the smb.conf, but I cannot find the machine name from the win2000(another computer), from the win2000, ping the linux IP is OK, but the ping the linux machine name does not work; from the linux, both pinging the ip address and the machine name of the win2000 is works. So, what is problem maybe ? I install the linux(redhat 7.2) with workstation version, should I change it into server version? Thanks!
