Thanks for the reply, but I fear you are missing my point. The error I stated previously at the bottom of my post:
tdb(/usr/local/samba/var/locks/gencache.tdb): expand_file write of 1024 failed (Invalid argument) [2003/10/26 19:45:58, 0] lib/util_sock.c:read_socket_with_timeout(279) read_socket_with_timeout: timeout read. read error = Broken pipe. protocol negotiation failed occurs everytime samba attempts to access my tdb databases. They never seem to work, I can't even add a user: smbpasswd -a djs This fails also. Can anyone help me?
