Is there a way in samba to create files greater then 2GB in size? I'm tarring some stuff to a samba share (from one linux server to another, share mounted using smbmount) and I get an error "File size limit exceeded" and the size of the file is 2147483647 bytes. Is there anyway to create files larger then 2GB on a samba mounted share? If so, how?smbmount or mount -t smbfs do not support large files. I.e. > 2Gb files.
I suggest that this is a bug in the linux kernel, and should be fixed there.
Cheers James
