Your configuration is typical of many. The samba-3 migration facility (net rpc vampire) should work fine. You should be able to run it against the local BDC - though I have not tested that. If you need help just ask. I am writing a follow up book to the Samba-HOWTO-Collection (The Official Samba-3 HOWTO and Reference Guide) called "Samba-3 by Example" and will have a chapter in there that will provide detailed presecriptive guidance on the migration process.
