I just upgraded a 2.2.8a installation to 3.0.1. Everything
seems to go well, with the exception that the Win2kSP4
clients no longer apply the policies in NTConfig.POL. It
looks like they never even ask for the file, which makes it
seem like a Windows issue, but perhaps one that others have
faced.

An exerpt from samba's log:

unix_convert called on file [roaming profile files]
[connects to netlogon]
  unix_convert called on file ""
  unix_convert called on file "\scripts\logon.bat"
  unix_convert called on file "\scripts\logon.bat.exe"
  unix_convert called on file "\scripts\logon.bat"
[connects to home directory]
unix_convert called on file [desktop.ini, etc]

I imagine NTConfig.POL is supposed to be the first file
pulled from netlogon, rather than ""
