Thanks for the reply. But my problem is not locating the libraries. It's basically Sun's libldap vs. OpenLDAP's libldap (or other supported libldap). As indicated in my previous email, the key error was:
Undefined first referenced symbol in file ldap_initialize conftest.o ld: fatal: Symbol referencing errors. No output written to conftest I checked the symbols in Sun's libldap, it doesn't seem to contain ldap_initialize. So the question is how to bypass the checking of ldap_initialize.
