I got it working. For some reason SWAT was updating the smbpasswd file incorrectly, when I run smbpasswd manually on the machine everything works just fine. Thanks for all your help. :-0

I've got an smbpasswd file on the server, do I also need to change some configuration on the clients? It still doesn't like any of the usernames or passwords that I've setup.

Her's my smb.conf file:

# Samba config file created using SWAT

# Global parameters
[global]
workgroup = COMMUNICCI
server string = Osiris File Server
encrypt passwords = No

This is a *very* bad idea. Create an smbpasswd file, and set this back
to 'yes'.

Problems caused by this setting include the need to patch every current
microsoft client, and numerous client bugs.
