smbd should recognize the printer by name. The problem referred to is that the printer will not show up in a browse list created by the [printers] share.
You can run 'killall -HUP smbd' to reload the printers.
Okay, I have added a "service smb reload" between my "lpadmin" to add a printer and "cupsaddsmb" to upload the printer driver ...
