hi

i'm sorry to inform you, but it didn't work on Samba v3.0.4

the only parameter that works is

idmap backend = ldap:ldap://server:389

there was no way to get winbind work with neither (can't contact ldap
server for the xx try)

idmap backend = ldap:"ldap://server:389 ldap://server2:389";
idmap backend = ldap:"ldap://server:389"; ldap:"ldap://server2:389";
idmap backend = ldap:"ldap://server:389",ldap:"ldap://server2:389";

...

is this a bug?

thx

| is it possible to give more than one idmap backend server ?

| e.g.
|
| idmap backend = ldapsam:"ldap://server1 ldap:server2"

That should work fine.

cheers, jerry
