I installed samba 3.0.4 on solaris9/sparc, with support to pam_smbpass, but when I configure pam.conf, and try alter system password, appears "permission denied" and in /var/adm/messages appears "cannot access samba password database", I tried compile separated the pam_smbpass (downloaded from samba.org), and the error remain.
