What about writes? LDAP doesn't handle a large volume of writes very
well. If your setup turns out to be to write intensive, you may
consider going to an SQL backend.
What is the nature of the corruption? That is - what are the symptoms
that are causing you to believe that your LDAP directory is being
corrupted?
