Can anybody tell me why most, but not ALL, Windows XP users on my network see my Linux server listed in the network browser as:
"(Samba 3.0) MyNetBiosName" instead of just "MyNetBiosName"? And why, over the course of the day, the computers that see the extra "(Samba 3.0)" sometimes don't see it? What is the Global Settings listing that controls how the Linux server is named in user's browsers?
