You have to do this.

first:

# pdbedit -e tdbsam:/etc/samba/passdb.tdb

After, you should modify your smb.conf to give access on tdbsam backend
with

passdb backend = tdbsam:/etc/samba/passdb.tdb

and so on...

ÂSamba does it better with ldap backend...Â
