disconnect from all shares and delete all network printers on the Windows XP box. Use "nbtstat -s" to see if you are really no longer connected to the samba server. Then try again to join the WinXP machine ...

When I try to join the XP (SP1) machine to the domain it gives the error:-
âMultiple connections to a server or shared resource by the same user, using more than one username, are not allowed. Disconnect all previous connections to the server or shared resource and try againâ
I have applied all the various registry settings to the XP machine as suggested, set the local policies and deleted all network connections with "net use * /del" at a command prompt
