Achim No not upgrading from 2.2. I had been running 3.0x for quite some time without a hitch. I had well established group mappings etc. Nothing has changed from the previously working configuration. All that happened was a package upgrade. I might see if i can track down the old samba 3.04 package and see if it fixes the problem. Then at least i will have an idea of where the problem really is.
