I've just noticed this in the log file for a user that cannot connect. It simply repeats over and over in the log. What the user sees is that he maps to the share, then gets a message "access denied" He can however connect to any subdirectory beneath the share. Weird.
The setup is samba 3.0.4 on Redhat compiled with windbind as a member server Connecting to a Win2k domain using rpc, smb.conf sent upon request. Thanks Mike.
