I'm using samba with winbind on solaris 8 to use MS active directory for user accounts. Is there any way to force the UID from active directory to be mapped or converted to a different UID? Reason is I have old users since before samba and they need to keep their UID for an app we run that can't be changed. Is there a guide on winbind I can read?
