Hi there. Recently upgraded from 2.2.9 to 3.05 everything is working great except for one small snag. I noticed it when working on the unattended Win2k installation, when it was copying a more than 8 Character Folder. Normally and certainly on 2.2.9 it would truncate the file name say from DellDrivers to DellDr~1 and would still work. However, it was truncating the file name to D1DRER~B (or similar, cant rightly remember) I thought it odd, but simply renamed the folder to be less than 8 chars and it worked there on in. I now have a similar issue, but in windows. It's a piece of software called StudyScan, and its used for diagnosing students with Dyslexia. All was working fine on 2.2.9, but when you run the software it complains it cannot find the licence file, you then try and tell it to browse for the file and its gets all the way to where the directory should be but instead of a studyscan folder I get a "S1STSC~B" Folder. Now the window itself looks like an old style win311 window, so im assuming its has some sort of dos issues with the 8 character's, but in windows and in a command prompt under 2k it looks as it should i.e StudyScan. So why is samba truncating it to be "S1STSC~B" instead of "STUDYS~1" ?
