I'm running solaris 8, samba 3 with winbind.
I am using winbind to get samba passwords from windows active directory.
I have a local /etc/passwd and shadow files for a few users, but when those
users map a drive they get a UID from active directory which is different
then their UID in etc/passwd.
What are some ways to map their AD/winbind UIDs to their unix UIDs?
Example:
User joe has a unix UID of 101
But he maps a drive from a windows pc and gets UID 10023 from winbind. I
need his UID to always be 101.
