Have you tried to put 'winbind use default domain = no' in your smb.conf? This seems like the behavior that setting =yes would cause.
Hope that helps

Hallo List,

I have set up a SAMBA 3.0.7 as a ADS-Domain Member with Kerberos and/or
rpc.
Kerberos seems to work fine.
net ads join ... was successfully.
wbinfo -t : checking the trust secret via RPC calls succeeded
wbinfo -u results in
aschmidt
agall
aglock
aklein
aschaefer
aturmus
aweiche

where I expected

DOMAIN+agall
DOMAIN+aklein ....

What went wrong ??
Any hints are highly appreciated -- Thanx in advance!!

Mit freundlichen GrÃÃen
