can you connect from windows over vpn to a Server by typing the IP?

c:\> net view \\192.168.1.1

or

c:\>net use z: \\192.168.1.1\share /USER:Administrator

You have problems with IP to Name resulotion. You can user WINS for only
Windows-PC-Network and DNS for all other.
Please test, to type in the IP-Adresse directly.
