Greetings all, Is there an easy way to start a background process, running as root or another arbitrary user, from a Win98 host? I would like to allow a trusted user to initiate a backup process on a Linux samba server simply by clicking an icon, or running a .bat file on a Win98 client. No interaction with the Linux application or waiting for completion of the backup is required.
