Samba is 3.0.11 on SuSE 9.2 PRO RPMs :
samba-3.0.11-0.1 samba-winbind-3.0.11-0.1 Domain is NT 4 with 1 PDC, 2 BDC's. Clients are Windows 2000 thin client sessions. I've also "upped" the logging level on winbindd to 5, and now see the following additional errors : [2005/03/03 17:23:40, 4, pid=2642] nsswitch/winbindd_acct.c:wb_getpwuid(414) wb_getpwuid: failed to locate uid == 10006 [2005/03/03 17:23:40, 3, pid=2642] nsswitch/winbindd_user.c:winbindd_getpwuid(225) [30887]: getpwuid 10006 [2005/03/03 17:23:40, 4, pid=2642] nsswitch/winbindd_acct.c:wb_getpwuid(414) wb_getpwuid: failed to locate uid == 10006 [2005/03/03 17:23:42, 3, pid=2642] nsswitch/winbindd_user.c:winbindd_getpwuid(225) [30889]: getpwuid 10007 [2005/03/03 17:23:42, 4, pid=2642] nsswitch/winbindd_acct.c:wb_getpwuid(414) wb_getpwuid: failed to locate uid == 10007 [2005/03/03 17:23:42, 3, pid=2642] nsswitch/winbindd_user.c:winbindd_getpwuid(225) [30889]: getpwuid 10042 [2005/03/03 17:23:42, 4, pid=2642] nsswitch/winbindd_acct.c:wb_getpwuid(414) wb_getpwuid: failed to locate uid == 10042 When I run "getent passwd 10042" it returns "MPLC+summerhil:x:10042:10000::/home/MPLC/summerhil:/bin/bash".
