The wbinfo -t returning an error normally means the machine was not properly joined to the domain. Did you do a net rpc join? Is your smb.conf set up properly to be a member of the domain?

Make sure you do not have nscd running - i had similar problems with it. You should be able to do this with `service nscd stop; chkconfig nscd off` Hope that helps H
