Hi all! have been having a lot of trouble with trying to get samba 3 client to join a windows 2003 domain, any help would be greatly appreciated:
vanilla samba 3.0.14a install on solaris 5.8 in 64bit environment with openldap and kerberos 5 1.3.2 libraries. when trying to join the domain, getting box# net ads join [EMAIL PROTECTED] [2005/04/29 15:26:18, 0] libads/kerberos.c:ads_kinit_password(146) kerberos_kinit_password [EMAIL PROTECTED] failed: Cannot resolve network address for KDC in requested realm [2005/04/29 15:26:18, 0] utils/net_ads.c:ads_startup(191) ads_connect: Cannot resolve network address for KDC in requested realm box# part of the snoop off of the same box: adc -> box LDAP R port=37139 Bind Response SASL Bind In Progress box -> adc DNS C _kerberos._tcp.SOME.DOMAIN.FOO. Internet Unknown (33) ? adc -> box DNS R _kerberos._tcp.SOME.DOMAIN.FOO. Internet Unknown (33) kinit fails on something else, krb5.conf and smb.conf are plain vanilla out of the documentation.
