Yup,
you have to introduce a path variable in the homes section
like this:
path = /homes/whatever/%S (%S stands for the username in this case

I think that DFS still don't work fine for linux CIFS mounting. So,
if I could do this kind of mapping, this would let me give users now the
final UNCs and introduce DFS in a future time (when DFS mounting will be
fully supported) without having to disturb users.
