Hello,

We have a 40To (fourty TerraBytes) Xserve+Xraid system to store years and years of video tapes. It's being used as a fileserver in a windows network, and so it uses samba.
The samba version is 3.0.10 (provided with Apple Xserve)
As we're dealing with gibabytes file size, we're hitting a strange problem:
We can copy
-any filesize
from xraid volumes to xraid volumes with cp command
from xraid volume (through samba share) to a windows computer.
-a 20GB file
from a windows system to a samba
BUT
We cannot copy a 34GB file from a windows system to a samba

So before starting to try blindfolded what size has my Xserve hang, I think I'd better ask to my specialist friends. Is there a built-in size limit for files copied from windows to the Unix system.

cheers
