Hi
Im not shure this is same problem as mine
When using offlinefolders the windows default action is to syncronize all users that ever loged on to the workstation at one time or another. If you have the offline folders pointing to the users home directory this will fail as it is trying to save to other users home directory. The solution for me was to make shure that it only sycronizes folders from the user currently logging out. This is a group policy at
User Configuration\Administrative Templates\Network\Offline Files

and the option is

Syncronize all offline files before logging off = DISABLED

However as I see it if more users are currently logged on their files will not be sycronized if the machine is shut down.

Subject: [Samba] Win XP SP2 and Offline Files

Hi,

I have a Samba 3.0.9 running on a RHEL 3 server.
This server is member of a Active Directory domain.
I have the following problem (and searching the list, it seems i'm not the
only one ...) :

All 'online' access are correct, but when a laptop users goes offline,
modify some files and reconnect , Offline Files sync says that 'Access is
denied'

I'm sure all permissions are ok on the share, so what's wrong ?

Any help will be appreciated ...

Thanks
