Thanks for the reference. Unfortunately I have 3.0.22, which
presumably has the fix in. At least according to
usr/share/doc/samba/WHATSNEW.txt.gz.

It is. I was even logged into the domain at the time. No problems with
the domain setup, it works.
What privileges do I need? I have set up a user to be a Domain
Administrator as well as a Administrator on the local Windows
computer, but it still didn't help.
