One issue I'm aware of is that w2k3 if configured as a DC requires SMB signing by default. Samba 2.2 does not do it, and I'm not 100% certain the early Samba 3 versions did it correctly, recent 3.0 does. This means that your 2.2 servers will not be able to connect to the DCs anymore. There are registry settings on the DCs that remove this requirement, but not everyone is willing to do that. Volker
