I think that samba 2.0.7 is also useful for embeded system. Because smbd ,nmbd files in samba 3 are too big for embeded system. I'm tracking down the bug now,but can you give me some ways? My way is to grab the package by sniffer,find the bug point, and fix it.

Well the problem is it works fine with the latest version of Samba (I tested with 3.0.21rc2) so I doubt anyone is interested in fixing a version that nobody should be using any more.
