There are other Exchange-like options out there for Linux. Personally, I like CommuniGate Pro from Stalker Software www.stalker.com but it's a commercial product. You might also check out www.open-xchange.com or opengroupware.org (I have no experience with either). If you do decide to go to Windows Server 2003, you'll want to use the Active Directory Migration Tool which is included on the Windows Server 2003 installation CD for migrating your user and computer accounts to the Windows ADS domain.
