For the record: TDB works nicely at a site that had over 4000 entries in 2004. At that time less than 66% of users had been added. I did not hear of any complaints after initial installation was completed, so it is most probably still being used today. The 250 user level was documented as a point at which most Windows networks end up being split across multiple segments. When this happens it is advisable to have at least one BDC on major network segments. TDB is not an ideal solution for PDC/BDC configurations - for such installation the use of LDAP should be seriously considered. - John T.
