Hi, I'm setting up openSuse samba on my home network (ethernet) so my linux and the two winXP machines can file share. The linux machine is also where all the backups for all the other pc's are stored.
My workgroup is MSHOME. When I start up my winxp pc I can see the linux machine in My Network Places > Entire Network > Microsoft Windows Network > MSHOME However, after a few minutes I get the dreaded "MSHOME is not accessible." message and the linux machine is only accessible via shares I've mapped on the winxp machine, or the UNC address in windows explorer. TCP-IP works just fine... I can ping the linux machine and login via SSH. I have no problems accessing the winxp machine from the linux machine. Is this a master browser conflict problem? rocannon
