Dear List; I have a small SAMBA domain with both XP and VISTA (Business) clients. For one domain user, logging onto to the domain fails with the following error in VISTA " The Group Policy Client failed the Login". It appears that the profiles are downloaded and re-saved on the server during the login but the login fails. This does not effect the same user on XP or a different user on the same VISTA machine.
I think this is actually a VISTA issue and not a SAMBA issue, but I was hoping someone had some idea how to correct this behavior. Renaming the local user folder and the profile on the server allows the login with a temporary profile which is not saved.
