The above posts refer to using the Active Directory Migration Tool, which attempts to migrate user profiles from the old domain to the new one. In some instances, this fails, in which case you need to do it manually. The following posts outline that process.

Note also that newer versions of ADMT can be downloaded from Microsoft in addition to the version on the Windows 2003 Server CD.
